Below you’ll find a link to download your supporter pack, which includes a whole range of resources and tools you can use between 21-27 October.

We recommend you read the ‘Read Me’ and Terms and Conditions documents first. The 'Read Me' document will give you an overview of the campaign and what is included in your supporter pack.

It's a Scamathon

Our research tells us that many New Zealanders are not as secure online as they should be. The stats below are from the CERT NZ Cyber Security Behaviour Tracker 2024.

  • 43%
of New Zealanders use the same passwords for their online accounts.
  • 32%
of New Zealanders do not use two-factor authentication for their main online accounts.

This year’s Cyber Smart Week campaign is called The Scamathon. The focus is on continuing to raise the importance of being secure online and encouraging New Zealanders to have strong password practices and adopt two-factor authentication on their main accounts.

By having these online security practices in place, we can help to minimise the amount of money New Zealanders lose to scammers each year.

Once again, thanks for signing up to support Cyber Smart Week. Your participation is vital in helping us to build a more resilient New Zealand.
