New year, stronger passwords
Let 2025 be the year you make your business more secure online by creating strong passwords.

There are malicious actors on the internet - scammers and hackers - who are constantly trying get their hands on things your business holds, such as money or data. Whether you are a sole trader, or you run a business with employees, you are not immune to online attacks.
Your first line of defence against these online attackers is strong passwords.
But what makes a strong password? The number of characters? Some upper-case letters, numbers and special characters thrown into the mix?
There are a few guidelines to keep in mind when creating passwords. If your business has more than one person, making sure everyone is on the same page can be difficult. A good first step to making sure everyone who works with you has strong, unique passwords is to have a password policy.
The good news is we’ve done the work for you by creating a password policy template which you can easily personalise, to use in your business.
While you’re at it, setting up two factor authentication (2FA) on your accounts provides accounts with a second layer of protection against online threats. Take a look at our guide on how to set up 2FA on your main business accounts.
