Help stop The Scamathon!
Cyber Smart Week is here and The Scamathon is on to highlight the importance of being more secure online. Every week, scammers take an average of $3.8 million from New Zealanders by preying on our human nature and kindness.
We’ve created The Scamathon to show you, in what feels like real time, the impact scammers have on ourselves, our businesses, and communities across Aotearoa.
We want everyone to stop inadvertently ‘donating’ to The Scamathon and protect themselves online. We’re encouraging everyone to use long, strong and unique passwords and turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) on their main accounts.
We’ve made it even easier to spread the message by creating helpful, fun and engaging resources for anyone to use.
