Unmasking cyber crime just got easier

A new online series will help businesses better understand cyber security practices and unmask cyber crime.

For someone running a business, it can be difficult to stay ahead of cyber criminals that are constantly finding innovative ways to try take over your email, to get into your network, and to steal your data and money. Recent research showed us that businesses in Aotearoa want to be more cyber resilient but often do not know where to start.

Unmask Cyber Crime, is a series of five educational videos covering basic online security knowledge to make your business more resilient to online crime. The series is free and can be accessed by any small to medium business.

Unmask Cyber Crime has been created by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) specifically for small to medium enterprises. 

Each of the five videos covers a different aspect of cyber security, and explains risks to look out for, and how to put in place protections that could save your business from a cyber incident. 

Once you complete the episodes, you can use our online assessment tool that gives you free tailored actions and advice to help your business stay secure online.
